Job Description:
As the Head of Finance, you will oversee the development of 8 different Wellness Rejuvenation Resort development and operations. We are searching for a reliable professional that can be involved in multiple roles such as a quantity surveyor tasked with analyzing existing budgets and making improvements, reviewing plans and preparing quantity estimates, negotiating with various contractors and vendors, as well as building and executing financial models to help with the strategies of developing and operating the resorts.
To be successful at this role, you should have a methodical approach and superb interpersonal skills. Outstanding Head of Finance are not only great at analyzing costs and numbers, but they also know how to read people and tailor their negotiation strategies to ensure the best possible outcome.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for formulating the financial projections of Elysium resorts from initial stages to the launch of the resort.
Responsible for the properties overall accounting and financial management requirements.
Responsible for the local tax authority compliance of the hotel. Monitors all local tax compliance that applies, and ensuring that taxes are charged correctly and collected.
Responsible to support and liaise with the General Manager in meeting the strategic goals of the organisation.
Responsible for preparing and reviewing annual budgets, monthly forecasts, operating results.
Responsible for verifying all financial reports and ensuring that all transactions are accurate and in compliance with local government regulations.
Responsible to liaise with the owner and the executive management of the resort.
Able to prepare and submits management reports in a timely manner and also ensuring delivery deadlines.
Able to ensure a strong accounting and operational control environment to safeguard hotel assets.
Able to assists proactively with cost control requirements by monitoring and improving hotels operation costs, profitability and manage business risks.
Assists in the building of an efficient and professional team of employees within Finance and Accounting Department. Also ensures property policies are administered fairly and consistently.
Any other tasks as and when required by the management.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor Degree in Accounting or related field, and/or professional accounting qualification
A professional qualification such as CFA / ACCA / CIMA / CPA / ACA / ICAEW will be an added advantage;
Communication skills, and ability to interact professionally with a diverse group;
Willingness to work long hours when necessary.
